You're Invited: MVL + Kaira Akita Google Hangout
April 23, 2014

I discovered her page on Instagram and thought — very nice. Her posts are carefully curated, a mix of style, thought and a peek into her life. They are ... well, her. Kaira Akita was immediately a friend in my head. The actress, producer and lifestyle conversationalist is fluid from one place you find her to the next. Read a blog post or her reply to your social media comments and you'll feel like you've known her all along.
Best known for her comedic roles in the number one box office hits "Why Did I Get Married," "The Family That Preys,"and her starring role in the short-lived but critically-acclaimed BET sitcom "Somebodies," Kaira is a NAACP award-winning actress, producer, creative director, and entrepreneur with a passion for using her platform to provoke thought, cultivate personal excellence, and impact culture.
Most recently, she launched Reality Revolution, a visionary unscripted development company that sheds new light on women, minorities and spirituality; created and starred in "What Would Doris Do," an original comedy series in syndication on Chic Rebellion TV, the first internet network for women of color; and launched her blog and third retail brand, Kaira's Closet, at KairaAkita.com.
A woman who inspires women through her transparency and striking authenticity, Kaira will chat with MVL fans one-on-one Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 2 to 3 p.m. in a Google Hangout — about her passionate pursuits and sharing her unique insight on living your best life.
This is an MVL Virtual Chat you won't want to miss. RSVP here and be sure to join the hangout on May 17th!
